The Educational Component
The “Meditative Surfaces” exhibition offers a strong educational component. The show explores a consistent theme, through a diverse collection of imagery, created with both traditional and experimental techniques. Each exhibiting artist utilizes his or her own uniquely personal content. The diversity of inspiration includes an exploration of the prehistoric megaliths found in Great Britain, the manipulation of X-Ray and MRI diagnostic imagery, self-analysis through photography, and the examination of memory through abstract form. The exploration of this content becomes an enlightening journey into contemporary fine art, examining concept, manipulation of materials, and the implementation of imagery. The Artists welcome the opportunity to partake in gallery talks, a lecture series, or panel discussion.
